Jack Murphy empowers financial professionals to effectively sell in a space where they may not necessarily be comfortable. He’s had his own book of business and success in the retail side of the investment insurance business. He knows how to put financial professionals at ease in unfamiliar territory by preparing them with what they are going to hear back and how to handle objections. Jack makes sure the financial professionals he supports understand the products and concepts so they can effectively talk to their clients and close the sale.

About Jack

Jack serves as Regional Sales Director for Midland National, supporting independent agents in the states of Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, since January 2005. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry serving as both an award-winning producer and wholesaler. Many insurance professionals and producers are new to life insurance sales. He has helped many financial professionals learn to successfully introduce and sell life insurance products to their current book of business and develop a new revenue stream for their practice. Partnering with Jack is one way a financial professional can find new life insurance sales, develop those opportunities and close them.


Prior to joining Midland National, Jack was a Wholesaler for Capitas Financial working with both independent and wirehouse advisers as a back-office resource and point of sale. Along the way, Jack served as Sales Director for Hartford Life and Life Insurance Wholesaler for Market Share, Inc.

Education & Certification

Jack graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with his Bachelor of Science in Economics. He holds his Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses and his insurance license in Life and Health.


Jack lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Mary. They have three adult children and one daughter- in-law that they enjoy spending time with whenever possible. When he’s not working, Jack enjoys golfing, and attending NFL games, especially the Green Bay Packers. He loves to explore different ethnic foods coupled with a good glass of wine.
